A New Beginning
A year ago, I could not have imagined entering 2025 with a breast cancer diagnosis. It marked the beginning of a year that would challenge my courage, deepen my trust in myself, and change the way I relate to my own health.
As the year comes to a close, I am still here.
The path has been slower and more complex than I ever expected. And yet, I am entering 2026 with a smaller tumor, a better understanding of my body, and a deeper trust in its capacity to heal when supported with care, patience, and respect.
This year required me to listen more closely. To slow down. To question, to learn, and to choose what felt right for me, even when those choices did not follow a standard or familiar path.
Somewhere along the way, that listening also meant stepping back from writing more than I anticipated. Not because I ran out of things to say, but because I needed some time to reflect. I needed space to integrate what I was learning, and to pay attention to my energy and what felt sustainable.
Healing, I’m learning again and again, does not respond well to pressure, even when the intention is good.
During that quieter period, a few things became clearer.
I still want Healing Choices to be a place where I share honestly about my experience with breast cancer and the natural, holistic approaches that have supported me. I want it to be thoughtful, informative, and hopeful for those navigating their own healing paths.
What feels different now is not the heart of this work, but the pace.
As this new year begins, I’m returning to writing, but at a gentler rhythm. One that allows room for listening, living, and staying present with uncertainty. I’ll continue writing here and sharing what I’m learning, with the pace adjusted to support the work itself.
If you’ve been here quietly reading, thank you for staying. If you’re new, I’m glad you found your way here. I hope you’ll continue walking alongside me as this year unfolds.
Although I am not yet completely cancer free, I can acknowledge and feel grateful for the progress I have made. Quiet, steady progress built through consistency, nourishment, rest, and a willingness to stay present with uncertainty.
As we step into this new year, I feel gratitude. Not because this journey has been easy, but because it has shown me how much resilience lives inside the body, and how much wisdom can emerge when we slow down enough to hear it.
If you are closing this year facing something difficult, you are not alone. Healing often happens in small, steady ways, one careful choice at a time. Wishing you a peaceful and hopeful New Year, wherever you are on your healing journey.

Welcome back!
